Bringing its latest display technology to corporate desktops, Sony Electronics is reinforcing its commitment to FD Trinitron technology and design with three new Multiscan® computer displays - all with Sony's FD Trinitron "virtually flat" CRT technology. The new suite of FD Trinitron computer displays includes the CPD-G200 17-inch (16-inch viewable image size), CPD-G400 19-inch (18-inch viewable image size) and CPD-G500 21-inch (19.8-inch viewable image size) monitors. Now professionals can let their imaginations soar, with the GDM monitor range from Sony. These top-of-the-line monitors support high-frequency, high-resolution images and boast the advanced features required by CAD/CAM experts, architects and graphic designers. For example, even the 17" 200PS supports a resolution of 1280 x 1024 at a flicker-free refresh rate of 85 Hz. The 200PS also features Sony's MALS lens technology for optimal electron beam focus, an Auto Sizing & Centring function that lets you adjust image position and size at the same time, and an advanced On-Screen Display for easy user-adjustment. All have advanced Digital Multiscan for distortion-free image geometry, with the 19" and 21" models boasting a combination of the MALS and EFEAL (Extended Field Elliptical Aperture Lens) technologies, for a reduced spot size and shape over the entire screen. The 19" and 21" monitors and 24" W900 also feature a Beam Landing Correction system that compensates for the Earth's magnetic fields in all 4 directions, and for changes in temperature too, ensuring screen uniformity and true colours every time. The Flat Display or FD Trinitron series are Sony's top of the line CRT displays - the combination of visually flat CRT (minimises geometric distortion and reduces reflective glare), amazing 0.22 mm aperture grille pitch (industry finest) and Sony's advanced new SAGIC™ electron gun sets the standard for image quality and display performance. They meet strict emission level standards TCO '99 to ensure safe and energy-efficient use, feature high maximum resolutions and horizontal scan rates (F500: 1800x1440 at 80Hz;121kHz vertical scan rate) Additionally, four active USB ports are built into the base for USB compatibility. For a whole new perspective on screen space, the Multiscan W900 has a 24" tube and an aspect ratio of 16:10 - enough space to see two A4 pages side by side, in their original size. |
